This is why I'm not on a diet

Dieting does not work, researchers report.

In several studies, people in control groups who did not diet were not that much worse off — and in many cases were better off — than those who did diet, she said.

If dieting doesn't work, what does?

"Eating in moderation is a good idea for everybody, and so is regular exercise," Mann said. "That is not what we looked at in this study. Exercise may well be the key factor leading to sustained weight loss. Studies consistently find that people who reported the most exercise also had the most weight loss."

Green Lake

self
I just ran around it.

Total distance: 4.8 miles (includes the portion I walked on the way back)
Total running distance: 3.9 miles (includes the run from the house to the lake, and all the way around)

Such a great run. If the weather had been a bit nicer, it would've been even more amazing. Whole bunches of swimming ducks, great foliage, some amazing houses (drool). Much better overall than the run around Stone Mountain park in Georgia (partly because it's basically flat around the lake).
