Intelligent-design school board ousted in Pennsylvania

DOVER, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - Voters on Tuesday ousted a Pennsylvania local school board that promoted an "intelligent-design" alternative to teaching evolution, and elected a new slate of candidates who promised to remove the concept from science classes.

Bravo!

The whole "Intelligent-design" issue just makes me so angry. Kansas City are changing the definition of the word science, for pete's sake! Can they do that?

Face it, folks. Intelligent-design isn't.

Vatican Rejects Intelligent Design

A Vatican representative has expressed a defense of the theory of evolution, stating that it is "perfectly compatible" with the Genesis story of creation. "The fundamentalists want to give a scientific meaning to words that had no scientific aim," he said at a Vatican press conference. He said the real message in Genesis was that "the universe didn't make itself and had a creator"."
